I have a Journey 2000. Last winter, while checking and filling the coach batteries I touched a positive post with a metal wrench and caused a spark. When I dewinterized the unit I found the "coach battery fuse" under the front hood blown. I reset it.

Now when I go to start the MH I have to push the aux battery switch on the dash. When I do the MH starts right up and shows the engine batteries are charging. I went for a ten mile round trip and when I got back I had no engine batteries unless I hit the aux. switch. The it works perfectly. The battery digital panel shows the coach batteries are charged 14 amps but there is no read out for the engine battery. (Doesn't appear to have power)

Any suggestions, ideas? Thanks

Check the alternator's voltage output. If you measure the chassis battery while the engine is running it should read about 14.4 volts DC.

I had the same problem. My start battery died in Vegas and I drove for 3 days using the aux start switch. It was the battery----installed a new one and good to go. The darn thing was good one day and dead the next. So if you can get it out, put a charge on it and have it checked
