The bedroom slide on our 2006 Itasca Suncruiser J38 has a very peculiar manor of operation. If the slide is all the way in or all the way out, to move it you must first attempt too move it further in or out before it will move. For example, if the slide is "IN" and you want to move it "OUT" you must first push the "RETRACT" switch momentarily and then push the "EXTEND" switch to get the slide to move "OUT". If you don't, nothing happens when you simply push the "EXTEND" switch.

Also, if you stop moving the slide during it's travel in or out, say to check for any obstructions, you must first move the slide in the opposite direction before you can get it to continue in the direction you were going.

This is really weird but it works every time.

Wow, have you given any thoughts to an exorcism? If I was to start chasing it down I would start with the electrical switches. Then move the the hydraulic valves. But then again as long as it is working I might just live with it as the devil you know is better...
