Boy it pays to lift the bed and check the furnace filters. In doing so I saw a 12 volt wire pair that had been sheared almost off and the plug pulled out. To fix it I removed the wood floor and spliced the wires, but couldn't figure out where the wire plugged into. It was hot, surprised it didn't blow a fuse what with all the bare wire.
With the floor removed, I could see that the two slide limiting stop plate bolts had sheared off. Shows just how strong the cylinders are if you don't let up on the button as soon as the pump starts to slow down. Don't know if they sheared off coming in or going out. Bolts were grade 5, I will replace with grade 8 and be more careful to let off on the switch as soon as the pump starts to slow down. Will apply to both slides.
Now I have a hydraulic oil leak on the bedroom slide, don't know if it is related. Looks like a tough fix, I am not afraid to tackle a problem, but it looks like this one might be one for the dealer. If any of you have worked on the slide cylinders, please chime in.
