Big bang from front door area

When test driving our Tour, there was a large bang that came from the front door. Sounded like a rock coming off the tire but it happened a few too many times to be that.

The salesman said they will fix it. (also added to the bill of sale)

Any idea what that noise may have been. We take delivery Nov 2 and would love to know what to look for so we can confirm it has been fixed.

I get the idea that soon as we drive the coach off the lot they aren't taking care of anything. (it is an 8 year old coach)

Sounds like a broken weld in some of the support structure. Should be fixable. Don't accept the coach unless the repair is satisfactory.

Salesman had some door lock mechanism story.

Noise by front door

If the noise occurs when moviing forward from a stop it is most likely the air lock mechanism located on the entry door, it releases when you come to a stop and makes a loud popping noise when the coach moves forward. Salesman is likely correct, that doesn’t happen very often.

How was the cross-wind?

We've had that a couple of times coming home from Quartzsite, and its LOUD. The wind apparently grabs the RF tire flap and slams it into the wheel well body. Only does it at medium freeway speeds. Its loud enough I’ve pulled off more than once over the years to go find it.. nothing. Can’t be anything else..
