I have an '08 Adventurer 38J that has a slow leak (pinhole) at the joint between the black tank and the 3" drain pipe coming out of the tank. The pinhole is in what looks like a clear silicone but I have been told it is a product of plastic welding the drain pipe to the tank. It is under warranty but I am 400 miles to the nearest dealer. Winnebago is not sure about anything to seal it, and a dealer told me to use Dicor (roof sealant) since that is what they will try if I bring it in for warranty. Anyone have this problem? Is the drain pipe threaded into the tank?
Thanks

Could you post a picture of where the leak is?

I have had good luck with eternabond tape if you can get to the leak to apply the tape and some pressure to make a good seal on the pipe.
the pipe shoud be as dry as possible.

i am not sure how to post a picture here..do i have to start an album and link to it? i looked a bit more tonight and found the leak in this clear, soft silicone that surrounds the ABS pipe that enters the tank. i can scrape the silicone off fairly easily. it appears the black ABS pipe is a press fit into the poly tank and then they just siliconed the crap out of it. i am wondering what i can use to replace this silicone.
