Black water drain valve

While taking my rig on her first trip this past weekend, I went to drain the black water tank.

I was pulling out the black water valve, and the entire cable came out. It looks basically like a bicycle brake line. Thankfully, I could reach up behind the water panel and pull the valve manually.

What I'm wondering is- how hard is it to reconnect this cable? Should I have a dealer do it? Or should it be something I can do myself (with..adequate..technical abilities)?

Thanks!
Matt
