I have a 2002 Adventurer, Workhorse chassis, 14.5K. If the heater blower switch is on when turning off the ignition, the blower motor and the temp/compass gauge remain on, even after removing the key.
Is this a common quirk or problem, and how does one fix it?
tnx,

There might be a holding circuit created under this condition. Try disconnecting/reconnecting the chassis battery.

Bob
I have a 2002 adventurer for 3 years now and have never had this problem.
Sorry I don't have the answer for a fix but I'm sure someone else with jump with some trouble shooting guides.
Ron

Has it always done this or did it just start? Also, did you buy this moho new? If you purchased it used, maybe someone added something. If you're handy with 12 Volt electrical circuits and meters, get a meter and/or test light and try following the circuit back to it's origination. See if the temp/compass gauge and the heater blower are on the same circuit. Trace back to the fuse and pull it. If it still stays on after pulling the fuse then something else is back feeding one or the other of the circuits.
