We were camped with some friends that have a 2002 Brave,he was able to run both airs on 30 amps.
How does Winnebago do this?

Our Sightseer has an energy management system that shuts items down if so the power can sent to the AC systems as needed. Works like a charm, we had ours running when it was 100 degrees outside in Utah.

As Y-Guy says the EMS is the key.
While 30 amps is enough to run both ACs they can't both start at the same time without exceeding 30 amps.
The EMS will only let one start at a time. It does more than that and will cut off the rear AC if you run something else like a microwave that will cause you to exceed 30 amps. It can shut down down the refrigerator also if it needs to.

There's also a sequence of jumpers that dictate what sheds first, then second...etc. I rewired my 30amp EMS, so it can only shed the AC's and nothing else. I don't like microwaves and coffee pots shutting down... and without either air conditioner, it never trys to exceed the 30amp max.
In addition, I split the 20amp circuit feeding the rear air conditioner, so that I can feed it seperately and independently ...with an extension cord when on shore power. This in effect, comes pretty close to having a 50amp @120VAC service and is as simple as it gets.
