Unhappy Broken Accordian Door

DH and I have a 2014 Winnebago Journey 36M on order. We have seen 2 other 36M's and in both units the door towards the rear of the coach (bedroom) was broken and could not be easily put back into the track. Both salesmen stated that people had likely pulled too hard trying to force the door open or closed and caused this problem. We are wondering if anyone "out there" has a 36M and if so, has the door held up under normal usage?

Why not contact the manufacturer and tell them of your concern of poor quality. Maybe they can offer an upgraded product.

Thanks for the suggestion Doggy Daddy. We did contact Winnebago and at the time I posted this, we had not heard back. They sent a message that they are "aware of the issue", but they don't tell us how they have corrected it. It would be nice to hear from someone who has been through this, but it does not appear that is going to happen.

Our unit is 2 yrs old next month, we fulltime and now just over 18K, no problem with our door. Our 4 yr old granddaughter is with us now for over a month and hasn't hurt it.

2013 36M - Only problem we have had was latching the door in the closed position. A simple adjustment to the track hardware corrected the problem. Frankly we seldom use this divider. However, I did install two coat hooks on the top of the door to hang robes, jackets, etc. Never enough places to "hang" things!

If the door opens or closes with resistance, try adjusting the hardware accordingly and lubricating the track and guides.

cheers,
Joopy
