They just pop apart. I put a small LED panel in mine, much brighter.
Happy Glamping.

Im probably in that other thread as well, and i never would have believed that lamp could melt metal, but it does..

If yours isn’t melted, there are several different round LED plates with pins out the rear and are a litteral plug and play replacement. Starlights used to sell the perfect replacement but they are now gone, although I see the Starlight units all over the place. I bought a backup in Quartzsite for $6... probably never use it but too cheap to turn down.

Lemme look for it online...

Found it. Heres the data sheet:

Heres one on ebay:

I just replaced my 'OnePlace' light with this LED fixture: RV LED Directional Reading Light w/Switch Black

It completely covers up the hole from the original 'HOT' lamp (which needs to be enlarged slightly on one side to provide room for the switch) and works great! Inexpensive as well.

bulb replacement

This made me look at mine. Sure enough, it was burnt but not too bad. I used this LED https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

The diameter is important - not more than 10 mm. I relieved the hole in the reflector with a dremel tool. The bulb gets tight at the base but just a little dielectric grease let it slip right in

Looks great, Chris. Do you still use the wall switch or the switch at the new light?

It's only been installed for a day , but I expect I'll continue to use the wall switch and just leave the switch on the light 'on' all the time.
