I have just purchased a 2008 Itasca Sunrise, along with a 2009 Honda Fit. Do I need to purchase a car guard to protect the front-end of my car?

It depends. We tow an Odyssey and have never had a problem. Others claim that their vehicle would get pummeled without a cover. The determining factor may be the roads you travel on and the type of mud flap you have on your motorhome. Needless to say, if you can get away without a cover, towing will be that much simpler. One option is to try towing without a cover. If you start to notice small dings, get a cover or a hitch-mounted guard. Best of luck.

We have a Sunova and tow a Honda Fit also. We were getting a lot of debris on the car until we installed an UltraGuard mudflap at the rear of the coach. It's hard mounted using angle iron so it doesn't "sail" like when attached by chains. Seems to do a great job, we haven't had any debris or nicks on the car since then.
