I have found that when the chassis battery main disconnect is used the radio/GPS/camera/etc. unit loses its memory settings as does the electronic dash information screen such as: time/trip/and other pre-sets.

Is it also true that I could be losing the learned driving habits by the Allison transmission?

Where I have taken it for warranty work, has disconnected (turned off) the chassis battery. It is a pain to reset all that information.

Does this mean I need to keep the chassis battery switch on all the time when not using rv? I have a new journey 34. New to RVing.

Not sure how often you coach sits between trips, but mine often sits for a while and in those case I use the disconnect switch. I have found that even while switched off there is a small electrical draw that has led to battery drain. Also have had disconnect switch installed in battery compartment for the chassis battery for the same reason.
