I was on a trip this weekend and after arriving at the location, I noticed that the Drivers side slide lower compartments looked slightly off. I had the wife slide out while I watched and was amazed to find the lower attached storage compartments of the slide just barely hanging on There are 2 Beams that support the lower cabinets with 1 large nut and bolt on the inside and and 2 smaller that attach to the outside through the open compartment door, 1 on each side was missing leaving the compartment just hanging. I Also remembered I had the same problem with my 2000 adventurer with the driver slide supported the same way. Just a caution for every one to check, It seems to coincidental for me to have 2 brand new coaches of different lines 5 years apart to have the same exact problem and it not be a design flaw!!
Thanks!
Ben!

We foumd the exact same thing on my buddies 2000 Adventure last summer. It is something that should be checked. I have made a habit of looking around under mine each month.

I hate it when large parts start falling off! Thanks for the heads up! It's on my list to check!

Hi Ben, thanks for the advice. I'll go out to the back and check mine right now. Just like Bellsharbor John mentioned, I hate when large pieces fall off.
More to worry about than failing expoy joints!
You certianly have to be a pro-active owner of a house on wheels.

That very same thing has happened to my rig.
I have forgot to check them this year.
This is a good reminder.

I had both of mine break a couple of years ago. I drove about 500 miles with just the front part holding the compartments up. The slideout is a HWH unit. I never had my slideout over loaded, so the reason for the breakage?
