Cleaning debris from engine fan shroud

2007 Journey 34SH w/Cummins ISB (300HP). We have a constant problem with packrats here in Tucson. We can stay ahead of them in every area less one -- the engine fan shroud and space between the CAC and radiator. Have spent many an hour looking for a way to access these areas from underneath, no luck. have removed the engine cover beneath our bed and can see debris between the fan blades, but the blades are too close together to get a vacuum hose in. have removed the smaller underbed engine cover which is over the fan shroud, but can find no way to remove a section of the shroud to facilitate cleaning.

Some folks say the only way in is to remove the radiator and CAC.

Surely there is another way.

cleaning debris from engine fan shroud

Thanks skigramps, those threads supported thoughts I had mulled over. looks like crafting an access port at the top of the shroud has been successfully done, mostly to clean oil deposits. no reason not to insert a vacuum hose and clean out the packrat deposits, too.
