Hi Folks,

Has anybody got any recommendations for the best way to clean the grout lines of the tile floor as installed in the recent Vectra or Horizon?

Chris - no takers on your post . I would try Softscrub with a toothbrush.

When Winnie added more tile to the dining area for us in May the grout they used for the new tile doesn't exactly match the original grout. The original looks like it is the non-sand type and the new is sanded and is a little glossier.

When I get the motivation I'm going to use some 120 grit sandpaper rolled to where it fits the grout seam and do a little sanding. That would work for you if your grout doesn't respond to normal household cleaning procedures.

John's suggestion is about as close as you can get without getting destructive with the grout.

Once you have the grout clean go to Home Depot or Lowe's or some such place and pick up some Grout Sealer. Follow the instructions. It will not change the color or appearance but it will seal the grout and keep it from getting nearly as dirty and it will be a lot easier to clean in the future.

Thanks, John and Adrian. I'll give those a try...
