Anybody got a handle on the cold air source near the driver's feet?

Both my 2004 Journey and friend's 2006 (?) Meridian tend to freeze the driver's lower extremities at highway speeds--

Tnx,

ReM

Hmmm.... I don't have the problem but I would suspect that you might have a wire pass through in the "firewall" that needs a little sealant. I read here that some have used a leaf blower on the outside and a lighted match on the inside to find leaks like this.

Good luck....

Same here with my 2004 Meridian 36G. If the outside temperatures are much below 45-50 degrees I put the dash heater on "Floor" and use the cruise control to be able to get my feet back from the peddle areas.
I've tried feeling around there as best I could while driving and can tell its cold down there but can't tell where its coming from.
Hope you get some good responses.

Same problem, but I found the passenger side lower vents were getting all of the air. So I stuffed a rag in one of the passenger side vent tubes, which allowed the drivers side to get more air. Seems to have fixed the problem.

Same with our Bounder. I was just under there today with the sweeper attachment & noticed light coming through the floor between a carpeting cutout where some wiring goes through under the brake pedal. Don't know how to insulate it though.

The Rubber Boot around the steering column leaks as well as the afore mentioned wire traces through the fire wall.

Spray can of high expansion foam insulation will help block the wire trace holes and you might take an old towel and cut it into two inch strips to be wrapped around the base of the steering column.
Only advantage of cold feet is that you will stay awake trying to keep your feet warm!!!!!

Good Luck
