I have a 2001 Horizon, and the compartment under the driver is leaking. It appears the seal is flattened and needs replaced. Anybody else with a Journey or Horizon have this problem? If so, what was your solution? Thanks!

I has a similar problem with the same compartment. I shimed to latch to make the door close tighter. Seems to have solved the leak problem. You may have to replace the gasket as well.

I don't know if shimming the latch will work or not, but I'll take a look at it. It appears to be leaking at the top of the compartment. When you shimmed the latch, what did it do to the alignment with the fromt and the fender? Thanks for the reply!

I've had the same problem, as with numerous other things.

I added another seal same height and width next to it right up to the top, it still leaked. I think its the compartment at the top. I'm going to spray it with under coating to try and seal the the box.

I don't think there is any way to adjust the latch, it's all fixed. Had the factory try to fix it and they didn't do any good either.

Battchief,
I shimmed only the forward latch and it actually improved the alignment. I think the leak problem I observed was worst while driving in the rain forcing water in along the leading edge. I haven't noticed any leakage while parked in rain or driving in rain.

Thanks for all the replies. Mine too, is worse while driving in a rainstorm, but also has a small leak while sitting still. Looking at the back of the compartment door, it appears it's leaking at the top.
