VERY nice! Clean and simple, but functional. I might be tempted to try to add a little extension on one side for a track-ball mouse, but that might be a bit much in terms of space. I just don't like the little trackpads on these laptops.
But you've done a great job with that, and it really adds to the look up front in that rig.

Looks great!
What material did you use for the leg? It looks like it bends. I would like to build something like that for my netbook.

The support leg is a natural/propane gas flexible service line they come in varied lenghts, available at Home Depot. Each end has a nipple/nut/washer then it is covered with a lenght of wire loom. The compartment is still accessible although it is a little awkward with the stand in place. The good part is that it can be easily removed & changed to the original configuration.

Thank you for the details  I think this will be one of my winter projects while the RV is put into hibernation.
