Hello all, I now own a 1984 Winnebago chieftain 23. It has many issues but the most troubling is the 32 amp power converter. It is a model 6332. Manufacturer unknown. It does not charge the coach batteries. It does power the 12 volt circuits but only showing about 12.0 volts to the batteries. (not enough) It's old enough that I'm considering replacement with one of the newer tech. converters. Wondering if anyone here has made the change and any recomendations would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Erich

Hi ErichO,
If you get another converter it's pretty much plug and play. Unplug the old one disconnect your cables and reverse procedure for the new one. What size batteries do you have?

Hi and thanks Rjay, I have two group 27 deep cycles. I would like to upgrade and upsize the converter. The exsiting converter is under a replaced oversized fridge. Flooring has been replaced as well. Not by me. The old converter is jammed so tight I'll have to pull up the carpeting to remove it. Gunna be a job but worth the improvement.
