Cracked "Big Shower" shower Dome on 15 35F

I don't know if I'm just frustrated or venting or what. Just found out the rear shower dome on my rear shower was cracker in 2 places. OK, it's less than a year and half old. Just wonder what might have caused it. It does sit outside subject to the whim of Mother Nature, which can dry it out. And I'm sure it does flex, rock and rolls like a porpoise, So thinking of different shocks, too. Hummmmm....

So 2 options, can take it a dealer to get fixed. The closest dealer (who lost or gave up their "Authorized Winnebago Dealer" ship, it was a business decision) sent me to another dealer, Another ex Authorized Winnebago dealer. They said they could do it cheaper. Which isn't always better, I know. The closest dealer where I bought this unit said they'd have to charge me 130% for the part. They'd fix it but I'd pay more.

Or I could attempt to fix myself on a coming cool winter blustery day. My question is: am I out of my league in attempting to fix this?

Any comments would be appreciated. Thanks.

Cracked Shower Dome

2013 Tour QD
We found our shower dome cracked 2 nights ago. It is not covered by warranty or service agreement. Part cost $275 including shipping. Service person tells me you take out screws, remove all caulk, recaulk and install the new one. We are having a licensed mobile service tech do ours since we are camping in a remote area. We've had this problem in our last 2 Winnebago motorhomes. Seems like 3 years is a short time for a product that can cause so much damage.

It is a sky light, mine cracked on my old Adventurer and I just patched it with silicone every now and then and it never leaked.

Mine cracked on my 2008 last year. I used Dycor self leveling sealant and haven't had a problem with it yet.

I just replaced mine on my 2008. Really not that bad of a job at all. There are video tutorials.

No problems yet on my 2001 Adventurer 35U. No Snow but a lot of Florida Sun.
