Cracked Shower Pan

I noticed that the caulking between the shower pan and the wall panels had some cracks in it. As a fix I removed the caulking with plans to re-caulk it. When I returned I noticed a crack in the shower pan. I proceeded to drill a hole at the end of the crack and used epoxy to secure the crack until I could replace the pan. I re-caulked the wall/pan joint and found another crack in a different place! What gives? The coach is 12 years old. How long can I expect the pan to last, or did I do wrong in removing the caulking in the first place?

More than likely the pan has become unsupported under it. Plastic, its what I assume you have can get brittle and crack with age.
