I am not sure but I use the following schedule for all my filter changes.

oil & filter: = 6000 miles or 12 months

fuel filters: = 10000 miles

air filter: = based on my indicator

coolant filter: = 12 months or at ea. oil/filter change (dep. on testing)

I hope this helps. This regimen has served me well for over 29 years (that I have been performing these changes myself).

NOTE:
The lubricating oil and lubricating oil filter interval can be adjusted based on fuel consumption, gross vehicle weight, and idle time. Refer to Oil Drain Intervals in this section.

Test the SCA concentration level every 6 months unless concentration is over three units; then check at every oil drain interval until concentration is below three units.
Antifreeze check interval is every oil change or 19,000 km [12,000 mi], 500 hours or 6 months, whichever occurs first. The operator must use a heavy-duty year-round antifreeze that meets the chemical composition of GM6038M. The antifreeze change interval is 2 years or 77,000 km [48,000 mi], whichever occurs first. Antifreeze is essential for freeze, overheat, and corrosion protection.

Follow the manufacturer's recommended maintenance procedures for the starter, alternator, generator, batteries, electrical components, engine brakes, exhaust brake, charge air cooler, air compressor, air conditioner compressor, and fan clutch. Refer to Section M for addresses and telephone numbers.

Oil Drain Intervals:

Refer to the following flowchart to determine the maximum recommended oil change and filter change intervals in kilometers / miles / hours / months, whichever comes first.

I wonder if the extended change intervals are due to synthetic fluids being used. I tend to stick by the 12 month rule as there is no way I can do 20K a year.

These two notes appear to be S.O.P. though.

*Oil, fuel and water filters should be changed at every oil change.

**If engine is equipped with an optional coolant filter, it will need to be replaced on the same intervals as the oil filter.

I would also add that if there is a coalescing filter, there might also be a separate dessicant filter/cartridge that needs to be changed at the same time. Of course it depends on the brand and model of the air dryer but mine has both as well as three different valves that need to be checked for proper function.

No.

Cummins does not recommend synthetic oil.

Cummins doesn't care if you use synthetic, as long as you do not exceed oil change intervals.

My ISB 425HP recommends 1 year or 20,000 miles.

As route 66 stated it is one year or 20,000. There is a special note for RV that directs it be done at least once a year. They know that the typical RV owner will never reach the hours, miles, or time they state for truck usage.
