On the way to a relaxing few days in Pcola, decided to turn On dash A/C. Only hot air blows. Called Sansing Chev (WH Svc Ctr & good svc) & Svc Mgr said bring it in next day to add Freon. Found failed compressor, blocked evap system, fan inop. Ordered parts but wrong ones sent. Reordered. Spent two nites in parking lot w/50A power. Had enuf wtr in tanks & DirecTV worked, so things were reasonable. Repairs were made; bill came to 1844, of which GoodSam CSP paid 1123. But would not pay for cxd RV park fees. While at Sansing I spoke w/folks who had their Damon (?) in for caliper replacements. Not happy campers, particularly after I told them that they'd need to have all four calipers replaced under the recall.

When I got back to home base (Destin, FL) I had to have my left windshield replaced. It had cracked a few weeks ago. Had the right on replaced about a month ago. Good news is the insur co paid all expenses for both W/S.

Also noted another small duct leak on the aft side of the duct that comes out of the TrueAir house A/C. Must repair that tomorrow.

OBTW, my laptop (Toshiba, less than one year old) quit. Keyboard died, so impossible to access internet. Bought a new Dell for about 600, so am back in business on the internet. I've been a raging madman getting it configured, calling Tech Spt, etc, etc. No longer need a phone to talk to the folks in India.

And THAT, boys and girls, is why I'm having Gigundo Martini!!!

Could you please keep us posted on your where-a-bouts? I don't think I want to rub shoulders with you for a little while. At least you do have luck, even if it is all bad.

Workhorse will/should pay for the caliphers if they over heated. They were good to me in honoring their bad when I had a 02. Good Miles

WH refused reimbursement of my caliper replacements (2) prior to Nov 16 2007. I re-applied & just received refusal last week. Again.

Thudman,
No TCAS, but as soon as one is on the market for a reasonable price, I'll buy it.

If it wasn't for bad luck, you wouldn't have any luck at all. Dash air on my workhorse chassis seems to go out once a year and when it does work it is not very good. The air conditioner on my saturn works better.
