Dash air condensation

Never had this before but today the condensation from my dash air (2001 Adventurer 32 workhorse) was so bad it made the rug in front of my co pilot chair wet. Co pilot not happy! Is there a clogged drain line or something similar?

The big black box, or plenum, that contains the A/C evaporator, fan, and heater core has a drain hose out the low point of the box. It can get plugged with leaf debris, dirt, and scum. You can look under the 'hood' or underneath and find the drain hose. A wire pushed up the hose can often get it flowing again. If you can find an opening in the top or side, you could add a couple of drops of detergent to help dissolve the crud and flush it out with a bit of water. Be careful, don't overfill the plenum or your wife will get really upset. It is probably full of water now, it tends to slosh out on turns when it gets full. If you can find the place the hose attaches to the drain, removing the hose and blowing through the hose and using the wire in the plastic drain will often hasten the opening of the drain line.
