The vinyl covering on the dash is deteriorating - the foam under layer is shot.
I am considering replacement, but don't know about the difficulty of removing the dash to accomplish the job. Has anyone had experience with this problem? And would be willing to share tips and ideas?
Thanks!!!

use the search function near the top of this page. there are threads with pictures showing how folks have recovered their dashes.

Had similar issue with my Journey. Folks at Winnebago told me removal of the metal dash top was 'difficult' so I opted to make a cover. I made a pattern with some stiff wrapping paper. Used the pattern to cut a piece of indoor/outdoor carpet runner I got from Lowe's for less than $25. Cut out slots for the dash vents which hold the new cover in place very well. Very pleased with the results.

I like your idea of a dash cover, looks like I am going to add another item to my long list of things to do this summer for the MH.

If the item does not have stain protected already, I suggest doing that! Might make it easier before you place it in the coach..justa suggestion
