Dash Jensen AWM970, Is it a weather radio?

We're getting ready to travel across the country and are concerned about receiving severe weather warnings. We have the owner's manual for our dash radio Jensen AWM970 but it is no help at all. There is a WB button but we're not sure if it's NOAA and if we could get S.A.M.E. alerts. Has anyone used WB, is it helpful and/or do you have a separate, portable weather radio? Not sure what the WB button is, but the AMW970 specs page on Jensen's website says it does NOT have NOAA.

Sorry, wrong model number. This is the wall mount in the bedroom. I'm not sure of the correct model number because I can't find the owner's manual. It does have a WB button that says Weatherband on the Quickreferance card. That's probably NOAA. Just wondering if it gets S.A.M.E. alerts.

If you can identify the model of dash stereo, I would be happy to let you know its capability in this regard. The model number can be found both on the front panel of the stereo as well as on the Quick Reference card.

Thank you. The model is VR182G3. I've since learned on another forum that the WB stands for Weatherband and I was given the instructions to use it. I don't think it can give S.A.M.E. alerts. The main issue for us is that we don't want to drive across country listening to NOAA. Oldcarfun
