Dash Monitor replacement for Journey/Meridian

Has anyone found a plug and play replacement for the dash monitor in an 06 Journey or Meridian? My brothers B/W monitor went south and after searching the existing threads here and talking with several suppliers the only solution they can come up with is replacing the rear camera and monitor. Well that would be fine except the new monitors they suggest have to retrofitted in the old opening which will require some creative engineering not to mention running the new cable from the rear of the coach to the front monitor. He cannot be the only one out there that has this problem so perhaps someone has been there and done this. Any help would be appreciated.
