Dash outside temperature display broken

The digital display in the middle of the dash that shows the outside temperature shows a constant reading of 127 degrees F.
I assume that either the sensor is defective or connections are broken.
Where is the sensor located so it can be checked out?
Any help is appreciated.

I suspect all the Winnie class "A"s are the same, so look under the bottom, center of the front cap. The sensor is black and as I remember about 1" long with a 2 wire connector plugged into it. Connector may have just gotten knocked loose by bouncing road debris.

Yep, it's into the HOT time of the year here in FL, but it's not THAT hot...

We have had a simular problem. During cold months, if the outside temperature goes below 32 degrees, our readout displays a minus number (outside air 31, display -33, outside air 30, display -34). Took the coach into our local dealer, showed them the problem, but when they finally got the coach in for repair (some 5 days later), the temps were above 32 and they were working on it win a heated service bay and deturmined there was no problem. we are not going to that dealer any more !!!!

If memeory serves, there is a callibration mode.

Hi Adventurous,
On some instruments that are read by a computer, when a wire is disconnected, the computer will read the very maximum or the very minimum read that the instrument can go to.
This happens on our computer screens at our power plant. It got my goat a few times. So here's something else to confuse the issue.
It's in the 80's here in Alaska.

Thanks for the input.
We found the probe and it was inside just above and to the right of the front licence plate attached to the outer skin. When we disconnected the sensor wires the display showed a flashing -40F.
When reconnected it still showed 127. So we assume the sensor is in fact bad and not the wire. We will replace it when we get get near a WB dealer..
Would they have this in stock???

Depends on the dealer and whether replaced the probe is a common occurence (i.e. warrants keeping it in stock which is out of their pocket month-to-month).

Keep in mind the unit in question is not WB speciic. The unit in my 05 Journey is from AccuTech and I'm guess yours is too. As such
I'll bet you can get the temp sensor probe from someone other than an WB dealer. I suggest you contact AccuTech direcly at 800-238-2687 (from their web site) to find a convienent distributor. You might even be able to order the replacement part from AccuTech directly.
