The dash radio on my 2006 Journey 39K has one speaker located next to the drivers chair on the outside wall also one located drivers side just below the fridge. No sound from either one. I can get the radio on the five over head speakers. I checked the back of the radio and it looks like all the wires are attached. Is there a fuse for the speakers? Any suggestions for this dumb RV'er? Thanks.

On my 2003 Suncruiser and now with my 2007 Tour, those are the subwoofer speakers that augment the bass or 'lows' of the surround sound system.

Crank up a Spiderman DVD and turn the surround sound on LOUD. You will hear the subwoofers during some of the scenes. The beginning of the song by the Doors "Riders on the Storm" will also use the subwoofers.

Happy listening!

Like Tom said, those are sub woofers and you usually don't hear much from them except boom, boom. The one near my driver's window will shake the plastic trim below the window if the music has a lot of bass. If you are hearing the bass in music, they are probably working as intended. Turn up the bass and listen to something bassy and see if you get the thrill.

Thanks to you and Tom for the information. Now I can stop trying to fix something that's not broken.
Happy Travels

That's always just what I say, " If it's not broken, don't fix it!" My stereo also has the bass boost knob, if we turn that up then those speakers really rock. Have fun!
