I have a couple of outlets which have 12 volts on them, and which are apparently modified AC receptacles, with one pin location plugged with epoxy. One is located in the forward wall of the step well and one in the water tank compartment. Are these original Itasca items, what could they be used for, and why would they not have used some type of DC connector?

Ken,

That is unusual for DC to be supplied through an AC outlet. I can't imagine it's up to electrical code. Have you measured the voltage at the receptical. The fact that one of them is in the water compartment does seem suspicious as I doubt Itasca would have put one there from the factory.

Hopefully someone with the same rig will jump in can let us know if they have the same outlets.

Yes, they do have 12 VDC on them, and no detectable AC. I suspected they might have been added by a previous owner and maybe used for connecting a DC air pump for airing up tires, or some such purpose. The one in the step well is mounted in the wall, but the one in the water compartment is loose, connected to a wire that goes down through the floor of the compartment.
