I am new to diesel world. My question is the diesel gen use the same anti-freeze as the cat enginge or does it use what a car uses.

Welcome to the forum. I use the same antifreeze in my diesel genset that is used in the CAT diesel, Fleetcharge.

MERIDIAN MAN: Suggestion to include the year and model of your coach in your signature so forum members know what coach you have. For my '04 the anti-freeze for the coach and the generator is the same. I use Final Charge, red extended life.
