My Dimensions control panel reads:

Charger-Off
Check Batt Probe.

When I try and set the battery charge rate, it comes back to this reading.

This is a 2004 Journey DP.

Can anyone offer help/advice?

Jim.

From the manual...

"Indicates that the charger has shut off due to short or open temperature compensating sensor cable."

"Temperature compensation sensor cable needs to be replaced."

I'm not a guru on this, but as I recall, it's a cable that's connected to the negative battery terminal. You might try checking your battery terminals/connections to see if something is broken or disconnected.

Guys,
My temp probe from the Dimensions inverter is on the neg post of the center house battery. I'm not sure if it makes any difference as to which battery neg, on the house batts that is, it's hooked up to. But, that temp probe comes off the inverter and I think it's replaceable. In the pic below, you can see it on the right side of the batteries and where it hooks to the negative.

Guys, I did some trouble shooting and found a small 2 conductor wire cable that had broken loose from the rear battery neutral post. The 2 wires were back and red, real small in gauge, maybe 20 or smaller. I reattached both. The read out still says the same. The batteries still will not charge.

I have connected an aux battery charger that I use at night. My solar panels charge during the day.
