Hi,

I've been all over the www looking for HELP! Our signal lights on the toad don't work. We followed everyones suggestions until we got to "Check the Diodes for the signal lights." Can't find them. Have been to the Winnebago site and looked for a diagram that would help but no such luck. We have a journey 2004 36'.
Any help?

I am very excited about finding this web site.

Cheers,

Nancy

Nancy,

The diodes will be in your toad. Trace the wires coming from the front of the toad and you should find them.

Nancy, Welcome to the forum. You will find lots of useful information here.

You may have a problem with your 'toad' fuses which supply power to your toad. These fuses are located (in my coach) in the electrical compartment where your 110V power cable is located. There are 1-2 boxes located behind a metal panel which contain relays and fuses, which control your trailer wiring harness.

I would look here first. I don't think you have a diode problem. Most likely a fuse problem.

I would first check the connector at the rear of the coach to see if I has power coming into it (a cheap digital volt meter will tell the story). If you do, the problem is in the toad itself or the wire to the toad and its connection. My diodes are in the trunk of the toad close to the tail lights. Doubt also that they are your problem.

Welcome Nancy! As Pusherman mentioned, check the fuses in the electrical compartment of the MH. This seems to be the most common point of failure for our Journeys. There is a metal panel on the aft wall of the electrical compartment. It's held in place by several screws. Remove the screws and you'll find all the fuses for the toad wiring behind that panel.

I agree that the diodes are probably not the problem. Sounds like you have more than one light not working. There is usually at least one diode for each light and the chances of more than one failing at the same time are fairly slim... Good luck and be sure to share what you find with us.
