Dog house

I have tried to unlatch the dog house but it doesn't want to unlatch. I've turned it in both directions until it stops but it does not release the latch.

Which way do you turn the latch to make it release? I don't know if something has come loose or not.

Thanks,

Ron

If it has the latch with supplied allen wrench like mine, then it unlatches counter clockwise and latches clockwise. It's a hook that catches a post coming up from the floor side.

The factory also used a couple of screws at the front to secure it, but I can't imagine those would still be there after all these years. Once you have it unlatched can you get some clearance at the back of the cover?

On mine you can climb up under the wheel well and actually gain access to the latching mechanism. By eyeballing mine I was able to adjust it just right so it would stay closed and latched firmly. It opened up on the hiway a couple of times and it's kind of a shocker. It sucked out my buddy's camera and into the fan one time. LOL.
