Hi All,

Hoping someone can solve a mystery for me - I just noticed that there is a small black drain tube/hose (abt 0.5 inch in diameter) in the top forward corner of my propane compartment that slowly drips liquid (water?)... It is below and slight forward of the refrigerator. Would love to know what the heck it is.

The coach has been sitting in the driveway for the past week or so, with nothing turned on or running since we parked it there...

Haven't found any mention of it in the manuals yet. Any ideas?

Tweke,

I've noticed this tube as well. I don't know for sure, but I am willing to bet it is a drain for the refrigerator. Is your 'fridge running, and possibly condensing water, thus draining out?

I can honestly say I have never seen any liquid drain from the tube in my unit (or on my '00 34' Journey).

Thanks for the idea -

'Fridge has been off for about a week... There was a small amount of water in the freezer, but I just now wiped that up.

Only rarely have I ever seen anything dripping from that tube. I opened up the outside refrigerator access door and looked inside and noted that there is a small plastic tray in there with a small white drain tube emptying into it - was dry. I guessed that that might be the drain for the freezer, so my initial guess (like yours) that the black drain hose going through the propane area was for the 'fridge may not be right.

Still stumped!

No idea what a black one might be, but that small white tube drains the fridge into the small pan you see. It can get clogged with algae, lint or ? so it is a good idea to check it from time to time to make sure its clear to drain. It brings the drainage into the cup near heat from the fridge so as to let it evaporate. If clogged, it will cause the drainage to spill over from the collection pan under the freezing coils inside your fridge, making a wet mess inside..rgr...
