Anyone know where you can buy the drawer glides used in Winnabago's pre 2003. Mine in my 02 Suncruiser are made of plastic and many have broken. Are they available made of a metal composite. I would like to replace everyone of them. Thanks
Cris

I repaired the ones in my 1999 with a #6 flat head screw and self locking nut. See: Drawer guide fix

I did same as Ron, except I used 3/16" rivets. Haven't had a problem since.

Lichtsinn Winnebago can get any Winnebago part you want. They are also located next door to the Winnebago factory in Forest City. They have ordered complete drawers for me, and they are awesome.

I have rebuilt every bedroom drawer in my rig, mainly reinforcing the sides & bottoms. I tend to put too much stuff in them.

FrontRangeRVer is correct; Lichtsinn is great. I've dealt w/them many times.

The name of this part is " back socket " I replaced all of them on my 2003 Sightseer. After a call to Winnebago Customer Service, They sent me replacements, I was still under Warranty. This was a wide spread problem that didn't get published. The new ones are still plastic but beefed up and seems to correct the problem. You can buy them at any Winnebago Parts outlet

had a major problem with drawers in my triple e commander (plastic clips/slides etc ) so went to Home depot in Florida while there and bought all new drawer slides(both drawer and cabinet)They are ball bearing metal sollers and work great. They do not have to be the same size and some spacers or blocks might have to be installed but it was worth it.No such thing as overloading now. Hope this helps.

When we bought our unit used in October 2003 it had 8,600 miles on it and about 20 of the 28 nylon drawer track brackets were already broken.

It took me about six to eight hours to replace all except the two "nightstand" drawers, they will be more difficult to get at. The redesigned nylon/fiberglass brackets look like they will do the job, they cost $2.00ea. at the Winnebago dealer.

I got mine from home depot also and they were a lot cheaper, (cost wise) than from the dealer. And they haven't broken yet either. Replaced them 4 years ago.

I bought a lot of drawer brackets. I just change as they break. I had same problem with my 97 Pace Arrow and my 93 Coranado by FW.

But the Winn. replacement parts were better. Made out of a different material.

I did the same as bobpie; I took one in with me to Home Depot, and matched it up. It is made of a more durable material, and the mounting holes are a little different, but they worked fine.

I took Ron's suggestion and installed a flathead screw and locknut on each drawer slide. Works great, and it's definately a one time job.
