I'm sure I'm not the only UFO owner that is waiting for some positive word on the FCA issue so I'm hoping that DriVer can use his contacts on the inside to update us on the promised recall campaign for the fan clutch issue.
A year ago, the Workhorse area rep told me they were close to a resolve.
Back in July at the Homecoming Rally, the Workhorse reps told us very soon.
In October, a very pleasant young lady on the Workhorse customer service line told me any time now.
I'm counting on you, Mike!

Just like yourself contact with Workhorse has been ongoing but slowly. December of last year I was asked to be patient, a couple of phone calls then a follow up e-mail in Oct 2009 states I would recieve a letter soon within a week or so. Dec 7th (1yr)Later now no news. Now in storage with a belt squeel on cold starts. I've always said if it breaks locally I can deal, but not in the Mountains of Texas or on the way there. Feet are dragging and the snow is getting deeper .

This sounds like normal Workhorse customer service "coming soon"

I called Workhorse in June and asked them to replace my FCA with the "new" design. They agreed and they also replaced the water pump at the same time. It took less than 2 weeks for them to gather the parts and ship them to my local Workhorse repair facility.

OK - I'm back!
Rest assured that this issue is on the "front burner!"
I just want to assure you that nobody is waiting for your UFO to run out of warranty so that you'll have to go out of pocket to repair the failure.
In the Interim, if anyone has an FCA issue, that will be addressed on a one-to-one basis as expeditiously as possible.
I would urge you guys to just stay the course and please be patient.
Send me a PM if you are having immediate concerns and something isn't going well with your repair. I'll try to get you hooked up if I can.

Thanks DriVer!
We're the most patient bunch on the planet but it is a bit disconcerting when the Workhorse people tell you the solution is weeks away (three time now) and then nothing happens. Oh well.... let's stay out of the mountains.
Happy Holidays everyone!
