Have a 2004 Adventurer 38G that has a small rip in the drivers seat. No luctk finding someone to come to where it is stored to repair it. Looks like I am going to have to remove the seat and take it to a shop. It looks like there are only 4 nuts to remove the seat from the frame. My concern is how to disconnect the controls for the power seat and the control for moving the seat back & forth. Anyone with any experience with seat removal ?

Not positive, but I would be willing to bet that there are plugs that you can unplug. If not, then you will have to cut and splice them back together when you replace it. Wires should be color coded. Good luck.

I've removed Flexsteel power drivers chairs on two motorhome and yes there were plugs and relatively easy to disconnect the wires. Removing the chairs was not a problem but did take two people - one underneath and one inside - one to turn the nut (underneath) and one to hold the bolt on the chair base plate.

Yes, just did it. Look under the seat and disconnect the plug. You will also have to release the locking nut and disconnect the steel cable under the seat that allows the seat to rotate. The bracket holding the cable can then be removed. Next remove the 4 nuts holding the seat to the pedestal. Then the seat will lift out. It is not necessary to remove the pedestal as the 4 bolts holding it to the floor are not easily removed since it takes 2 people because the nut underneath will rotate freely as described by 1ciderdog.
hope this helps,
jim & debbie, 04 Journey 34H

Jim is correct - I replaced chairs including the base plate.
