I have a cabinet just off the galley floor below the monitor panel that holds a dust buster and a flash light , neither of which work. It is a very shallow cabinet and I would like to know if anyone has found a another creative use for it? If not I guess I would like to know if anyone knows where to get replacements for the flash light and dust buster and why they may have quit working in the first place. I bought the coach used and they did not work when I got it.

Thank you

Hi Ho: For what it's worth, we bought our coach new and these two things have never worked. I guess the flashlight did work for a while, but for me it's just not worth the effort. I too would like to know if the space is good for anything. These tow items don't seem to be (even if working).

The dust buster in our 2005 Journey 39F quit. I called the factory and they told me that new pattery packs for that model were no longer available. So I took it to Batteries Plus and they made a new batery pack for $14.95. Works great

My wife bought a small Dirt Devil model with more power to replace ours. We no longer have the flashlight.

I believed for a couple of years that the flashlight was broken. When ever I pulled it from the connection and pushed the on/off switch I got nothing. One day I tried again, It was then I noticed the two prong plug was on a swivel. I swiveled the prongs into the the light case and the light flashed on and has worked fine since. The Dust buster however bit the dust (pun?) a long time ago. Good roads to Ya,

I found an Oreck dustbuster that fits in the spot perfectly. We bought our Meridian used and without a flashlight. In addition to the dustbuster, I also keep an small extra flashlight and an additional fire extinguisher. You cannot have enough fire extinguishers!

When we had our Suncruiser, we put our umbrella's in that cabinet. Out of the way but convenient to the door.

My Dustbuster and flashlight have worked well for nearly six years. I use them all the time. So there ya go. But please don't beam your problems to me. If I go to use them tomorrow and they don't work, I'm gonna be torqued.

But great ideas on use of the cabinet!!

We've been thinking about installing one of these:

Mobile Home Advantage

I haven't taken the time to measure the opening, though...

I really like this idea. I will need to measure the cabinet. I hope it fits the specs:
Front panel is 9"W x 16 5/8"H
Housing is 7 3/4"W x 15 3/4"H x 3 7/8"D

What do others think?

Had those 2 items in our 2001 Adventurer. Problem was they never got used. Batteries over charged on them. They ended up in the scrap. Never found a use for the outlet that they were plugged into.
