Hi Guys:

I want to install a new DVD Blue Ray player in the coach. What the heck is holding the old Sony DVD/VCR player up in the right hand cabinet down?

It is attached somehow to the bottom of the cabinet? Any ideas ?

Regards... Jim P.

On my '05 Meridian 36G it's super strong Velcro. Pry it up.

Jim - industrial strength velcro. Either give it a BIG tug or take a butter knife or small screwdriver blade and separate the velcro...

Jim - it's been quite a while since I removed mine, but I think it was only on the feet...

on mine the velcro was installed, fore and aft, in 2 strips about 3'' long and about 2'' wide. it is very tough stuff to separate and doesn't re-stick to itself well.

Use a 2-3" wide putty knife and pry it gently.

Thanks Guys:

Just won a new Sony HD Blueray DVD on Quibids.com for $15.00 bucks not a bad deal at all.

I will try and install it in a few days. I have had it with the old Sony DVD/VCR player, some regular DVD's play some don't, and it's so slow to load.... out it goes.

I put HD LED TV's front and back a few months ago, so this should work better, I hope.

Regards.. Jim P.

Hi Guys:

Just an FYI... Installed the new Blueray DVD player on the top shelf on the LEFT side of the TV. I just hooked up the HDMI cable from DVD to the TV, works great.

I left the older Sony DVD/VCR intact. It had a TV Cable coming in and out attached to the wineguard. I didn't want to mess with it figuring it would screw up my Satellite King Dome ? I still need to get a satellite receiver for the coach. I have cable at home and have been putting off buying a satelite receiver because of package price per month price.

Thoughts..???
