we have a easy rest sofa in our 09 Itasca Suncruiser 32H
currently out on the road (Bryce Canyon UT)
we reclined the sofa to "flat" now it will not return...the motor that turns the screws is running, but there are some broken metal flanges...looks like one of them sheered off. Does any one know if there is a manual way to raise the sofa? We got it part way by pushing, and it is just enough to get by with the slide in, would be nice if we could get it all the way upright.
thanks...just looking for an interium fix until we get home and can take it to the dealer

Mine has failed a couple of time ...motor runs but sofa does not move. Both times the flexible drive cable had come loose. I secured mine in place with packing tape and it has held. You do have to MAKE SURE the sofa is even side-to-side as if you secure the drive cable with one side uneven it will bind. And we always "help" our sofe get started by pulling the back up when we hit the switch.

Ours did that, but we found that it was because we attempted to return BOTH sides to an upright position. Once we got it repaired, we were told that we should NEVER operate both sides at the same time . . . I didn't read that anywhere in the manuals, and I read them all!

Our sofa has two screws, one on the left one on the right
It was the one on the left that the bracket holding the nut that the screw turns in that sheared off
Anyhow, the screw on the right was not turning
Sure enough, the cable had pulled out
I shoved the cable back in and the screw turned allowing the sofa to return to upright

Thanks very much for the suggestion to check the cable
