I have a 2000 Ultimate Advantage with a 350 Cat. I am going to tow my prius with a tow dolly. I bought a prodigy brake controller. Where is the brake switch. This is my first diesel. I assume there must be a pressure switch somewhere that sends the signal to the brake lights. It is not at the air brake pedal. any help will be appreciated.

Hello, Tim. Have you tried the schematics that are posted on the top of this site? I did a cursory look for a switch and didn't see one, but that doesn't mean it's not there. You're right about the air brake pedal not having the switch on it in the conventional hydraulic sense, but it's got be somewhere before the actual brake air valve.

Let us know if you're successful.

I looked at the wiring diagrams for a few hours. Never did find it. Another member told me where to look under the floor. The swithes were attached directly to the air brake under the motor home in the front cab area. Easy to get to. It is a shame they did not prewire for a brake controller. I am going to install the unit Thursday or Friday. I will let you know how things turn out.

Ran the electric brake wire from front to back. Wow that was a pain. Unit works well.

Congrats Tim! I've run wire from front to back for other things and yes, it's a pain. But once done, it's done for good.
