Hi
I have a 2007 Sightseer 29 here in the UK.
With the weather we are having at the moment the heating has been used quite a lot.
This morning I turned it on to work on electric but it turned on to gas. This works fine, but every time I try to run electric it cuts to gas. Any thoughts????????
Regards
Tel

I am guessing that it is pretty cold where you are and that this is normal behavior. There is a temp limit (I think about 40 F) below which the electric won't work. It is a heat pump after all.

With the thermostat in the electric heat position, the gas furnace will automatically start if there is a five degree differential between the room temperature and the thermostat set temperature.

The heat pump will work down to the mid-30s F if the humidity is low. With higher humidity, it might freeze up and stop in the mid 40s F.

Cheers mate

Hi
Thank you you clever people, I toyally forgot the electric heating is in fact a heat pump, so can I blame it when we are down to zero degrees. The gas works great.
Once again thank you folks you are the best.
