On my Ultimate Freedom with the Hurricane Hot Water Heat system, if the boiler is off, I should be able to turn on the electric for hot water, -- on 30 amp. service--I should be able to use one switch (unit has two wall switches)--- after this has been on for several hours, - I can open the hot water side of the faucet and get warm water for only about 10 seconds before it gets cold water again

Ideas as to what to look for??

Bill

Bill, make sure your outside shower hot + cold valves are both closed off. Are you only getting "warm" water? (Your electric element could be going bad)

Does the Hydro Hot have a "Motor Aide" heater also? I ask, because I have a suspicision that your element may be bad, or, they have the switch installed incorrectly.

My electric element switch was installed upside down on my convention water heater, and I didn't figure out it wasn't on (Switch was) until we got home and settled in a bit (because on the road, the motoraide kept the heater warm).

Winnie has a habbit of installing swithes upside down.

When I turn the switch on, -- I watch the amp. gauge and it goes up right away to show that something is going on --
