Electrical issues for a 2003 adventurer

I can't seem to get the 12 volt lighter plug to work. I tested the fuses they work. The wiring also seems to be fine.

I have a 2003 Adventurer, u35 workhorse.

Suggestions are welcomed!! Thanks-Fishrite

Welcome to irv2.
Take a look with flashlight and see if you can see the center pin in base of socket, plastic socket back will break if plugged pushed in to hard.

As somebody that always (well, usually, if my complicated theories don't pan out) tries the simple things first, we know that some cigar lighters don't operate unless the ignition switch is ON. Could that be possible on your unit, especially if it's new to you?

Are you sure the plug you're inserting doesn't have a blown fuse? Often if you unscrew a ring around the tip of the plug the center plunger, a spring, and a fuse will drop out. Check that fuse.

Thank you

Thanks for the recommendations. I finally just rewired the plug in and now it works!
