I installed a tric el charger on my 02 horizon, last year. Battries have loved it ever since. Was checking the charger, and noticed that the charge and maintaining lights were both on. Went to battery drawer, checking the battries, and noticed the cells were a little low on water. Is this a little known indiator, that the battries are low on water? Anyone else ever notice this? Trick-l-charge sure beats useing the aux start idea to keep batt charged.

What this would mean to me is that you haven't been keeping your battery water topped off. It is normal to add a little water every so often. It is not normal to add water every week.

I have no idea about the Trik-L-Start indicator lights - what does the manual say? Perhaps that because the batteries are low on water they are drawing too much current for too long a period?

The Trik-L-Start to my knowledge does not indicate that the batteries have cells low on water. I read the information pretty closely after purchasing mine; nor did the owner of the company mention it in phone conversation.
