WE have a 2004 Winnebago Vectra, I am interested in a monitoring system. I have looked at the Silverleaf and Trip Tek systems, has anyone found something else that will work? Also what is the plug called, like the OMBDI car & truck plug, that is on an RV? I don't know if I want a computer on the dash or use the backup camera either. If you have any system, what is it and how do you like it? Thanks

Silverleaf is the best one. You can downkoad the laptop software from their website, for free, and see how it works. The interface box, cable, and plug, you will have to buy, and it's really a nice system. You can also run the software on the same pc that you have other things running at the same time. Or you can buy one of Silverleaf's self-contained units, at much greater cost, but then they are always hooked up and running. That's the route I went, and it has proven to be a good system. Triptek doesn't even come close.

I have the silverleaf, hooked up to a laptop that fits nicely in a side pocket, connected to the laptop I have a small 7"? remote monitor (actually a led tv) that sits nicely out of the way in the corner of the dash but still lets me see what's going on. I like it.

Thanks for the information, I thought there were more people with ideas out there. I just put new tires all the way around, was thinking about putting one unit for everything, didn't know if it is cheaper that way or not.

I'm not sure how much you want to monitor and how sophisticated of a system you are looking for, but I use the below for my engines needs:

ScanGauge - Trip Computer + Digitial Gauges + ScanTools
