We have the Carefree awning over our entry door. The awning will not extend when you push the switch. When you push the switch to retract, you can here a click in the awning. I can't find any troubleshooting procedures. In the service manual I downloaded from Carefree, it shows a wiring diagram for a switch with a relay module and without a relay module. How do you know which you have?

Any ideas? If I have a relay module could that be the problem or could it be the motor in the awning casing?

I had the same problem last with a different make. wasn't electrical issue, there was rust in the motor. Took it apart, lubed it, and all works fine now.

Same with my Carefree in 2004 when it was still under warranty. Dealer dried out the motor, drilled a drain hole in the bottom of the casing, and put it back on. It has never had another problem.
