Some time ago, someone posted a series of photos of their Eternabond application on their roof to sidewall seam. There was a series of photos with good detail on the application process. It was white Eternabond tape on a white fiberglass RV roof. Does anyone recall who posted this? I cannot find it in a search.

Probably one of the restoration projects presented in the Vintage section - that's where I have seen such photos...

No, it was an owner of a Class A Winnebago - all white fiberglass. He documented his application of Eternabond on the roof to sidewall seams with a number of photos and descriptions of his process.

I have leaks in my 08 fleetwood and the repair guy proposes to remove all cauking and replace it with new caulking. After reading all the testimonials about eternabond and seeing the videos I am beginning to think I should just cover all the old and new caulking with their 4 inch tape. Are the accolades true?
Thanks
Ed

Yes. did all the seams and joints on my 2006 after removing anything loose and caulking all cracks. Not a problem since and everything still looks good.

Just be sure you thoroughly clean the area before applying the tape... You can probably guess how I know. I had several areas that the tape just wouldn't stick and left areas that could accumulate water. I sealed those few areas with a lap sealer over the eternabond. I don't have a leak, but I will be back up pealing and re-sealing once the weather warms enough. I did buy the Eternaclean and Eternaprime and hope this will make a difference.

I used acetone on a rag sparingly to clean and had no problem with adhesion. Just don't pour directly on roof, and use with adequate ventilation.

LK, I too remember the pics. Can't find the exact post but if you go the the photo gallery and search Eternabond there are some pics there..Its pretty straight forward to do..We did two Moho in the same day. Used a section of contractors scaffold and move the Moho as another section need to be done..Cleaned with Acetone , did not remove any caulking and rolled it with a roller that can be purchased along with the 2" Eternabond and that is plenty wide...Good Luck
