Evaporator Coil Cleaning on True Air

Hello.. Well upon removing the air filters for out basement air unit I can see that the evaporator coil could use a little cleaning.
My question is have any of you cleaned it in place? Vacuum and wash?

I read the informative post by Dunner and his PDF on removing the unit.

But I do not think I need to remove the entire unit to clean the coil.

Any comments or suggestions?

Visit your local Lowes or hardware store and in the plumbing or air conditioner section you'll find a spray made for cleaning coils... simple to use, spray on and it foams like crazy as it drips down through the coils leaving them very clean. A plus, the one at Lowes smells like lemon
